With trend products, there are two factors that impact the success of a brand – presence and time. When Well Balanced approached the Asmbly team about branding the world's most premium hemp product, we were in for a challenge. This project required not only a brand system, but an eCommerce build, product packaging, content creation, and initial launch campaign. With a record-breaking two-week timeline, Well Balanced launched in just under 16 days, direct-to-consumer.
Hemp products, due to the recent passing of the farm bill, are available to any age demographic. This made it hard to properly identify a target demographic. Through insight partners, we dialed to the current CBD/hemp user looking for the purest product on the market.
The unique opportunity is the product itself. Well Balanced is the only cold-pressed hemp product on the market. This made our job even more important when it came to messaging and brand positioning.
With a concentrated space such as Hemp/CBD products, we wanted to create a brand that stood out as a clear and trusted choice. The identity surrounding the product had just as much to do with the quality of the product itself.
The outcome of the branding system and the launch of the initial campaign was a success. Through clear product messaging and correct positioning, Well Balanced is now in retailers across the Country as the trusted source CBD.
